Our prisons remain awash with drugs and violence, despite successive Ministers promising to get our prisons fit for the challenges of rehabilitation and keeping the public safe. Are our prisons universities of crime or places when we put a full stop to criminal behaviour? We will ask what role prisons can play as part of an ambitious approach to drive down crime and what the Conservative Party needs to do to get our prisons working again.
